  Free agent: 自由球员

据报道，2004年NBA球员交易及自由球员签约将于15日正式开始，NBA也已公布了2004至2005赛季的球队薪金上限。外电有这样的报道：The reigning NBA champion Detroit Pistons are expected to announce Wednesday the signing of free agent forwards Rasheed Wallace and Antonio McDyess. Free agent的意思是“自由球员”，即不受合约束缚的职业队员。自由球员又分为两种：完全自由球员（unrestricted free agent）和有限制的自由球员（restricted free agent），自由球员制度叫做free agency system。
