Lovesick student has phantom pregnancy
A college student from Shenyang, Liaoning Province, was so in
love with her teacher that she ended her up convincing herself she was pregnant
by him.
A medical examination, however, soon showed it was all in the
girl's head. At a later hypnotherapy session with a doctor, she confessed that
she had secretly admired the man for many years. She thought she had become
pregnant last month after sitting in a chair in his office while he wasn't
there.
Her phantom pregnancy was a symptom of a deeper mental condition
that would need therapy to rectify, a psychologist surnamed Yang said.
Courageous canine refuses to let go
A brave
dog captured a thief in Dalian, Liaoning Province on Sunday as he was trying to
make good his escape from a house.
The dog
pounced as the burglar was climbing through a window, biting him and barking
loudly. The man tried to kick the dog away, but the brave canine stuck to his
task. The commotion eventually awoke the master of the house who tackled the
thief while his family called the police. The burglar was found to have stolen
2,000 yuan ($260) in cash and was arrested.
