国人需储蓄182万元养老
People need at least 1.82 million yuan of savings for retirement, a new survey shows. However, more than half of young Chinese have not yet started saving. Many choose to depend on their national pension, but know little about the government-run pension system, according to the China Pension Outlook Report, released by Ant Financial and Fidelity International. The findings are based on a survey of 28,440 respondents on the Ant Fortune platform, with 95% of respondents coming from China's first- to fourth-tier cities, and 75% being young people aged between 18 and 35. Among young people who have not started saving, 40% planned to start at the age of 40. They also hoped to retire at 57 - meaning they would only have 17 years to achieve their saving goals.

Hong Kong rapper Jackson Wang won the Choice Next Big Thing award at the Teen Choice Awards 2018, making him the first Chinese to receive a Teen Choice award. K-Pop boy band BTS's US domination continued, taking home the Choice International Artist for the second consecutive year. Marvel was the clear winner in the film category, with Avengers: Infinity War winning the Choice Action Movie, Robert Downey Jr winning the Choice Action Movie Actor, Scarlett Johansson winning in the Actress category, Black Panther's Letitia Wright winning the Choice Sci-Fi Movie Actress and Chris Hemsworth winning the Actor category for Thor: Ragnarok.

>Trained rooks pick up trash
法公园'雇佣'乌鸦捡垃圾
Six rooks have been trained to pick up rubbish in the Puy du Fou historical theme park in western France. Whenever Boubou, Bamboo, Bill, Black, Bricole and Baco deposit a cigarette butt or other small piece of trash in a special receptacle, it dispenses a treat - rewarding the rooks for their efforts. The rooks were deployed for the first time over the weekend, and they'll be working four days a week under close supervision - not for the birds, but to make sure the humans don't deliberately drop rubbish to watch the birds clean it up. That's because the aim of the rook garbage collectors isn't solely to collect garbage - it's also to get park-goers to think before they litter.

>Putin to attend wedding

The Kremlin says that President Vladimir Putin will attend the Austrian foreign minister's wedding this week. Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday that Putin, who is set to visit Berlin on Saturday for talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel, will make a stopover in Austria to attend Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl's wedding. Attending Kneissl's wedding marks a rare case when Putin attends a private event at the invitation of a foreign official. Russian media report that Putin's foreign affairs adviser Yuri Ushakov said that Kneissl invited Putin to her wedding when the Russian leader visited Vienna in June. Kneissl, a representative of the right-wing Freedom Party, has spoken in favor of strengthening Russian-Austrian ties.
