>Royal family to block trolls
The British royal family has said it can delete, block or report social media users who make comments on its channels that do not meet new social media guidelines published Monday. The guidelines said that comments must not "contain spam, be defamatory of any person, deceive others, be obscene, offensive, threatening, abusive, hateful, inflammatory or promote sexually explicit material or violence," or "promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age." Neither must they be irrelevant, unintelligible, contain advertising or beach the terms of the social media platform. The guidelines were released just weeks after Kensington Palace admitted they spend hours moderating negative comments on their social media accounts, in particular sexist and racist comments targeted at Kate, the duchess of Cambridge and Meghan, duchess of Sussex. In January, Kensington Palace sought advice from Instagram on how to deal with online trolls, the Guardian reported.

>Kid-friendly menu created
A Maryland restaurant has created a hilarious and very helpful children's menu. In its "Kid Friendlies" section, its children's dishes are given very creative names, which are common phrases fussy eaters say at mealtimes. The idea is that parents can translate what their child says into a meal you can order for them at the restaurant. If a child replies to the question, "What do you want to eat?" with "I don't know", for example, parents are advised to order them a $2.5 Triple Layer PB&J sandwich. The response "I'm not hungry" will result in the child being ordered a $7 basket of Chicken Tenders. The ingenious solution to children's mealtime tantrums could save parents a lot of drama when dining out. One father commented on the picture of the menu on Reddit, and said: "As a dad this is on the money. Good stuff."

>Chickens lay eggs with drugs
Researchers have genetically modified chickens that can lay eggs that contain drugs for arthritis and some cancers. Many diseases are caused because the body does not naturally produce enough of a certain chemical or protein. Such diseases can be controlled with drugs that contain the deficient protein. These drugs are synthetically produced by pharmaceutical companies and can be very expensive to manufacture. After researchers from the University of Edinburgh spliced a human gene into the chickens' DNA, the animals began laying eggs boasting a significant amount of two proteins used to treat diseases including cancer in humans - and the process, they say, is far cheaper than current methods of protein production. "Production from chickens can cost anywhere from 10 to 100 times less than the factories," said Dr Lissa Herron, of Roslin Technologies in Edinburgh. "So hopefully we'll be looking at least 10 times lower overall manufacturing cost."
