>Incredible new space hotel
Californian company Gateway Foundation has released plans for the Von Braun Station, a cruise ship-style hotel floating among the stars.
The aim is to get the hotel off the ground by 2025 and make it fully operational for travel by 2027.
According to digitally rendered video and images released by the Gateway Foundation, the station resembles a rotating wheel, comprised of 24 modules, orbiting the Earth.
Tim Alatorre, senior design architect at the Gateway Foundation, says the rotating wheel would create a simulated gravity.
"The station rotates, pushing the contents of the station out to the perimeter of the station, much in the same way that you can spin a bucket of water - the water pushes out into the bucket and stays in place," he tells CNN Travel.
Price wise, in the early phase the Von Braun hotel will be catering to those with dollars to spend, but the foundation is hoping to make it equivalent to "a trip on a cruise or a trip to Disneyland."

>Get paid to watch movies
If you've already blown through lists of the best horror movies ever made, it's time to get more specific with your Halloween binge-watching.
This year, USDish is challenging one brave soul to watch 13 movies based on classic Stephen King works by Oct 31 - and the lucky viewer will receive $1300 for their fortitude.
The candidate chosen for the challenge will receive a survival kit complete with a blanket, flashlight, candy, popcorn, and Stephen King swag.
USDish will also send them a Fitbit they can use to track their pulse while watching some of the most heart-pounding scenes.
All 13 movies are available to watch on Dish.
After making it through the list and logging their experience, the winner will receive a $1300 cash prize.
They can use that money to buy all the Stephen King movies that weren't included in the challenge - or maybe take a relaxing trip somewhere else.

>Calluses protect feet
Do you have calluses on your feet? Don't fear them, though. New research has revealed that foot calluses - thickened skin that forms naturally when one walks barefoot - have evolved to protect the feet and provide comfortable walking in perhaps ways that shoes can't match.
Unlike shoes, foot calluses offer protection without compromising sensitivity or gait, according to a study published in June online in the journal Nature.
Shoes, in contrast, reduce sensitivity in the foot and alter the way that the impact forces transfer from the foot to joints higher up the leg.
"We suggest children walk barefoot on humid grass with the purpose of stimulating the afferents (nerves traveling to the brain) for developmental reasons," said Thomas Milani, a professorship of human locomotion at the Technische Universitat Chemnitz in Germany, who co-led the study.
However, barefoot walking isn't the best idea for everyone.
People with diabetes and peripheral neuropathy can wound their feet and not realize it.

>Left-handed DNA found
Scientists have found the first genetic instructions hardwired into human DNA that are linked to being left-handed.
The instructions also seem to be heavily involved in the structure and function of the brain - particularly the parts involved in language.
The team at the University of Oxford say left-handed people may have better verbal skills as a result.
"It tells us for the first time that handedness has a genetic component," said Prof Gwenaelle Douaud, one of the researchers.
In the left-handed participants, the two halves of the brain - the left and right hemispheres - were better connected and more co-ordinated in regions involved in language.
The researchers speculate left-handed people may have better verbal skills.
The study also showed slightly higher risks of schizophrenia, and slightly lower risks of Parkinson's disease, in left-handed people.
