>Theory test for flying drone
Drone pilots in the UK will soon have to take a driving theory-style test and get a license to prove they can fly the gadgets "safely and legally".
If pilots fly a drone after failing the online multiple-choice quiz, they could face a fine of up to £1,000.
Launched by the Civil Aviation Authority, the scheme comes as figures reveal a "sky-tipping" crisis that has seen hundreds of drones crash-landing in trees, parks, gardens, rivers and beaches.
The new regulations, which become law on Nov 30, apply to drones or model aircraft weighing between 250g and 20kg.
It could lead to children having to do an exam before flying drones they've been given for Christmas.

>Grave experience offered
Radboud University in the Dutch town of Nijmegen offers a novel solution for those struggling from everyday challenges of student life and anxious uncertainty about the future - a "purification grave".
The "purification grave" is - quite traditionally - an open hole in the ground in the garden behind the student church.
It is equipped with a yoga mat and a pillow - basic necessities to make yourself comfortable and meditate: below you there's earth, above - the sky.
The grave experience can be booked for a minimum of 30 minutes and up to three hours - students decide for themselves how long they want it to last.
And since the authors are offering something real, not a 21st century app-imitation version, telephones and books are prohibited during the session.
The author of the idea John Hacking, who works at the student chapel, thinks that the creation would help the youth appreciate the beauty of life and realize its transience.

>New flexible ticket prices
High-speed train ticket prices will change on Dec 1 with a flexible multi-tier pricing system being introduced based on different seasons, different time periods, different ticket classes and different operating regions.
According to media reports, the price adjustment this time involves more than 400 train services in seven major South-Eastern coastal railway bureaus.
The published ticket price will be the maximum ticket price with the lowest discounted by 45%.
The flexible pricing mechanism will reportedly be extended to more trains next year, which will better serve the public and improve the efficiency of the high-speed railways nationwide.

>Joint effort to fix cathedral
Chinese experts will participate in the restoration work of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, which was badly damaged by a huge fire on April 15, said China's National Cultural Heritage Administration.
China and France will collaborate on the theme and model of the restoration, and select Chinese experts for the cooperative restoration work in 2020.
Chai Xiaoming, director of the Chinese Academy of Cultural Heritage, said China can not only contribute general ideas but also detailed technical plans for the renovation.
"China has a great deal of experience in renovating ancient buildings affected by fire, especially ones made of wood," Chai said. "This means we could offer suggestions on how to approach the renovation of the oak-framed roof on Notre Dame Cathedral."
