>FDA OKs Chinese treatment
中国抗癌药在美国上市

US drug regulators have issued their first-ever approval for a Chinese-developed innovative cancer treatment, marking a breakthrough for China's biotech sector.
美国药品监管机构首次批准了中国研发的一种创新性抗癌药物，这标志着中国的生物科技行业取得突破。

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved zanubrutinib, a treatment for mantle cell lymphoma, a rare kind of blood cancer, produced by BeiGene in Beijing under the name Brukinsa.
美国食品和药物管理局(FDA)近日批准北京药企百济神州研发的泽布替尼上市。泽布替尼可用于治疗罕见血癌——套细胞淋巴瘤。

Chinese companies aiming to develop new drugs have proliferated in recent years and raised billions from venture capital investors and through public listings.
近年来，以研发新药为目标的中国公司数量激增，这些公司通过风险资本投资和公开上市募得巨额资金。

"It's definitely a milestone for the Chinese biotech industry," said Zhao Bing, an analyst at Chinese brokerage Huajing Securities. "More Chinese biotechs are following BeiGene's model, to innovate not only for China but for the global market."

There are about 800 innovative drugs in development at Chinese biotechs, a number that has more than tripled since 2012.

Of those, 70-80 are in late-stage trials, according to consultancy McKinsey.

"There will be more innovative [Chinese] drugs approved by the FDA in the near future," said Wang Gang, a scientist at consultancy Clarivate Analytics.

>Gates retakes richest title

Microsoft co-founder and billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates has surpassed Amazon's CEO Jeff Bezos as the world's richest person, reclaiming the distinction for the first time in more than two years.
微软联合创始人、慈善大亨比尔•盖茨超越亚马逊首席执行官杰夫•贝佐斯成为世界首富，这是盖茨两年多来首次重回世界首富宝座。

As of Friday, the Bloomberg Billionaire Index reported the Gates' total net worth comes in at a staggering $110 billion.

Microsoft shares are up almost 48% this year and the company beat out Amazon for a lucrative $10 billion cloud-computing contract with the Pentagon.

Bezos currently sits in second place with a total net worth of $109 billion.

Recently, Gates spoke about a proposed wealth tax being campaigned by some Democratic presidential candidates, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren. He revealed he already paid more than $10 billion in taxes.

Gates said: "If I'd had to pay $20 billion, it's fine. When you say I should pay $100 billion, then I'm starting to do a little math about what I have left over."

>Space station up by 2022
空间站2022年前后建成

China plans to complete the construction of a space station and have it begin operation around 2022, said Zhou Jianping, the chief designer of China's manned space program, at the 4th China Summit Forum on Human Factors Engineering. The space station is designed to weigh 100 tons and accommodate three astronauts, which could be expanded if needed, according to Zhou.
中国载人航天工程总设计师周建平近日在第四届中国人因工程高峰论坛上说，我国计划在2022年前后完成空间站建造并开始运营，空间站的设计规模为100吨，可载3名宇航员，如有需要可以扩建。

"The main goal of the construction of the space station is to enable China to become a country independently mastering the technology for long-term manned flight in near-Earth space, and having the capability to carry out long-term manned scientific experiments in near-Earth space and comprehensive development and utilization of space resources," said Zhou.
周建平说："空间站建设的主要目标是使我国成为独立掌握近地空间长期载人飞行技术，具备长期开展近地空间有人参与科学实验和综合开发利用太空资源能力的国家。"

>Pork prices begin to fall
我国猪肉价格开始回落

Pork prices in China have started to decline, and production will gradually be restored as supporting policies take effect, the agriculture minister said. The number of breeding sows began to rise last month, and the number of other pigs decreased at a much slower pace, said Han Changfu, minister of agriculture and rural affairs.
农业农村部部长韩长赋表示，我国猪肉价格已开始回落，随着扶持政策的落实落地，生猪生产将逐步得到恢复。韩长赋称，上个月能繁母猪存栏已开始回升，其他生猪存栏降幅明显收窄。

The number of breeding sows in stock - a major gauge to evaluate the potential of pork production - increased by 0.6% in October from the previous month, following months of decline.
在持续下跌数月后，10月能繁母猪存栏环比上涨0.6%，能繁母猪存栏是衡量猪肉生产潜力的主要指标。

The average wholesale price of pork in China was about 48 yuan a kilogram on Friday, the ministry said. That is down from 50 yuan a kilogram during the week of Nov 8 to 14, but still 157% above last year's level.
15日，全国猪肉批发均价约为每公斤48元，较本月8-14日每公斤50元的价格有所下降，但仍比去年价格水平高出157%。

Despite a decrease in pork production, there had been big increases in the production of poultry, beef and mutton this year, which meant the supply of meat could, in general, be assured, Han said.
