胡润中国富豪品牌出炉

Huawei leaps to the 10th place on the top 10 most popular brands for gifts among China's high-net-worth individuals, or those with more than 10 million yuan in total assets, becoming the second Chinese brand to make the top 10 on the list after Moutai which ranks 7th, according to a Hurun report.
根据胡润发布的报告，华为跃居中国高净值人士(即总资产超过1000万元的人士)十大最受欢迎送礼品牌的第十位，成为继茅台之后第二个进入前十的中国品牌，茅台排名第七位。

This marks the 16th year for the Hurun Research Institute to release the Hurun Chinese Luxury Consumer Survey and it aims to reveal and describe the changes and preferences in terms of lifestyle, consumption habits and brand recognition among China's high-net-worth population.
这是胡润研究院连续第十六年发布中国千万富豪品牌倾向报告，该报告旨在披露中国高净值人群在生活方式、消费习惯以及品牌认知方面的转变与偏好。

Electronic products are still the first choice for men's gifts given by China's high-net-worth people, and the proportion keeps increasing.

>Minister takes paternity leave

Japan's Environment Minister Shinjiro Koizumi has announced that he will take paternity leave when his first child is born this month, an unusual step in a country where new fathers rarely take time off from work.

Koizumi, who will become the first cabinet minister in the country to commit to such a move, said that he had decided to take two weeks of paternity leave in the first three months after his baby's birth after considering how caring for their newborn alone could impact his wife.

The total number of babies born last year was 14.65 million, a decrease of 580,000 from the previous year, while the birthrate stood at 10.48 per 1,000 people - the lowest over the past seven decades, according to the bureau.

Meanwhile, total population on the mainland narrowly exceeded 1.4 billion by the end of last year, an increase of 4.7 million year-on-year.

Health authorities in Wuhan, Hubei province on Monday confirmed 136 new cases of pneumonia caused by a novel corona virus strain in the city, while Beijing and Guangdong province reported a total of three cases on Monday.
武汉市卫健委20日证实，该市新确诊136例新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎病例，同日，北京和广东通报共确诊3例类似病例。

Zhejiang province also said on Monday it had detected five suspected cases in patients arriving in the region from Wuhan who had displayed respiratory conditions, including fever. Laboratory tests are underway to verify diagnoses.

Worldwide, Japan has reported one corona virus infection linked to the viral outbreak that originated in Wuhan and Thailand has confirmed two infections.

Just several hours before the announcement of the spike in new cases, the National Health Commission said on Sunday evening that the disease outbreak is preventable and under control, but more research into the virus's source, its transmission mode and possible mutations is needed.
