>'Parasite' makes Oscar history

South Korean social satire "Parasite" won the Oscar for best picture on Sunday, making history as the first film not in the English language to win the movie industry's highest honor.

"Parasite," about the gap between rich and poor in modern Seoul, won a total of four Oscars, including best director and screenplay for Bong Joon Ho and best international feature.

英航五小时横跨大西洋

A British Airways Boeing 747-436 traveled from JFK in New York to London's Heathrow Airport in 4 hours and 56 minutes on Saturday night, achieving the fastest subsonic transatlantic flight time.
8日晚，英国航空公司旗下一架波音747-436飞机从纽约肯尼迪机场飞往伦敦希思罗机场，耗时4小时56分钟，创造了跨大西洋亚音速最快飞行纪录。

The flight landed almost two hours ahead of schedule. Thanks to fierce winds from super storm Ciara, the passenger plane reached a top speed of 825 mph, which was described as "phenomenal" by former British Airlines' pilot Alastair Rosenschein.

China's year-on-year growth in consumer price index (CPI) rose to 5.4% last month, as the Lunar New Year holiday pushed up food demand while the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak delayed supply, according to official data released on Monday.
国家统计局10日发布的数据显示，由于春节假期推高了食品需求，同时新型冠状病毒肺炎疫情暴发延迟了供应，1月全国居民消费价格指数(CPI)同比涨幅增至5.4%。

The CPI rose by 5.4% year-on-year in January, versus the 4.5% for December and November, with pork prices remaining the biggest contributor to higher price levels, said the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
国家统计局称，相较CPI去年11月、12月4.5%的涨幅，1月CPI同比增长5.4%，其中猪肉价格仍是推动价格上涨的最大因素。

Pork prices soared by 116% from a year earlier last month and contributed more than a half of the CPI growth.
1月猪肉价格同比上涨116%，对当月CPI涨幅贡献过半。

Food prices as a whole rose by 20.6%, up 3.2 percentage points from a month earlier, while the growth in nonfood prices edged up 1.6%, official data shows.

>Aerosol transmission of virus?
专家:气溶胶传播无证据

The novel coronavirus normally does not suspend or float in the air for long, and currently no evidence has shown that the new virus can be transmitted through aerosol, Feng Luzhao, a researcher of infectious diseases at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said at a press conference on Sunday.
中国疾病预防控制中心传染病预防控制处研究员冯录召9日在记者会上表示，新型冠状病毒一般不会在空气长期漂浮，目前没有证据显示新型冠状病毒通过气溶胶传播。

The virus is mainly transmitted via respiratory droplets and contact, said Feng, adding that the virus is normally transmitted within a range of one to two meters.
冯录召说，新型冠状病毒主要通过呼吸道飞沫传播和接触传播，而飞沫传播的距离一般在1至2米。

He suggested the public open windows to help with ventilation at least twice a day, which is effective to lower the risks of getting infected.
