>Disney postpones 'Mulan' again
Hollywood studio Disney announced it has postponed indefinitely the release of its China-set live-action film "Mulan" due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The epic fantasy war drama film directed by Niki Caro was first scheduled to hit US theaters on March 27 but was later rescheduled to July 24, before being delayed to Aug 21.
Based on the legend of an ancient Chinese heroine, the film is an adaptation of Disney's 1998 animated film of the same name.
Mulan, according to folk legend, lived during a tumultuous era in Chinese history more than 1,400 years ago.
She disguised herself as a man to serve in the army in place of her aged father and fight for her country.

>Man upholds 28-year promise
A western Wisconsin man will share his millions in lottery winnings with a longtime friend because of a promise they made to each other 28 years ago.
Friends Tom Cook and Joseph Feeney shook hands in 1992 and promised that if either one of them ever won the Powerball jackpot, they would split the money.
That promise came to fruition last month when Cook bought the winning ticket for a $22 million jackpot at Synergy Coop in Menomonie, Wis.
这一承诺上月终于得以兑现,库克在威斯康辛州梅诺莫尼市Synergy Coop购买的强力球彩票竟中了头奖,奖金2200万美元。
When Cook called to give his friend the good news, Feeney couldn't quite believe it.
The men chose the cash option of about $16.7 million, leaving each with nearly $5.7 million after taxes are paid. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in about 292 million.

>AG600 seaplane's test flight
Kunlong, China's homegrown AG600 large amphibious aircraft, conducted its first sea-based test flight on Sunday morning, marking a new milestone in the program.
The AG600 is China's second amphibious aircraft, after the SH-5, which was developed in the 1970s for military purposes and has been retired for a long time.
With a length of 37 meters and a wingspan of 38.8 meters, the AG600 is roughly the size of a Boeing 737.
Powered by four domestically designed WJ-6 turboprop engines, it has a maximum takeoff weight of 53.5 metric tons.
These specifications make it the world's biggest amphibious aircraft, surpassing Japan's ShinMaywa US-2 and Russia's Beriev Be-200.
Once in service, it will put an end to the absence of a large rescue aircraft in China and will be very useful in the national emergency rescue and disaster relief systems.

>China has 410K 5G base stations
China built 257,000 new 5G base stations in the first half of the year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The total number of the stations had reached 410,000 by the end of June, MIIT data showed.
Shipments of 5G phones reached 86.23 million units in China, with 5G package users hitting 66 million by the end of June, said Wen Ku, head of information and communication at the ministry.
The value-added output of information transmission, software and information technology services rose 14.5% year on year, 1.3 percentage points faster than the first quarter.
To give full play to the commercialization of 5G, more policies should be implemented to boost the vitality of the market, Wen said, adding that international cooperation in 5G technology, industry and application should be strengthened.
