马拉松越野赛21死事故 国家体育总局发声

5月22日，甘肃白银马拉松越野赛遭遇极端天气，21名参赛人员不幸遇难。国家体育总局5月23日晚紧急召开“全国体育系统加强赛事安全管理工作会议”，进一步压实体育系统的赛事安全管理工作。

The General Administration of Sport of China urged better risk management and more comprehensive contingency plans. Organizers of future events should also show a stronger sense of responsibility to prevent the reoccurrence of such tragedies.
国家体育总局要求完善风险管理，建立更加全面的应急方案。今后的赛事组织者应强化责任意识，防止此类悲剧再次发生。

事件回顾

The marathon, with a total of 172 participants, was held on Saturday morning in the Yellow River Stone Forest tourist site in Jingtai County, Baiyin City in Gansu province.
这次马拉松比赛5月22日上午在甘肃省白银市景泰县黄河石林景区举行，参赛人员共172人。

According to the rescue headquarters, at about 1 pm on Saturday, hail, freezing rain and gales hit the area of the race's high-altitude stage, between 20 km and 31 km. Participants suffered from physical discomfort due to the sudden drop in temperature.
救援指挥中心的信息显示，当日下午1点左右，冰雹、冻雨和强风突然袭击高海拔赛段20至31公里处。因气温急剧下降，参赛人员出现身体不适。

【知识点】

此次事件中，很多参赛人员因为气温急剧下降而出现的“失温”状态有一个专有名词是hypothermia，读作[haɪpəʊ'θɜː(r)miə]，指是指当人体核心温度低于35.0 °C时出现的各种症状。轻度失温可能造成发抖（shivering）与意识模糊（mental confusion），中度失温时发抖症状消失，但意识模糊的状况则会加剧。在重度失温的情况下，心搏停止的风险会增加（increased risk of the heart stopping）。

The incident led to 21 deaths, some of China's elite runners were among the dead. Another eight were hospitalized for minor injuries.
