>Highest emergency response urged in extreme weather
极端天气即时启动最高等级响应

China's top economic planner called for instantly triggering the highest-level emergency response in the face of extreme weather, seeking stepped up protection for key infrastructure in urban areas. Improvements should be made in emergency plans for dealing with the harshest weather conditions and a quick-response mechanism should be established, according to a circular made public on Monday by the National Development and Reform Commission.
7月26日，国家发展改革委发布关于加强城市重要基础设施安全防护工作的紧急通知。通知指出，一旦出现极端天气等非常情况，要坚决即时启动最高等级响应。要按照最严酷的极端天气情况完善应急预案，建立第一时间响应机制。

The circular urges meteorological departments to strengthen forecasts and early warning of disasters, including heavy rainfall and typhoons, and release information to the public through multiple channels.
气象部门要加强对强降雨、台风等灾害预报预警，各相关部门要充分利用各种渠道和方式向社会发布预警避险信息。

Cities must come up with a detailed list of low-lying areas that are susceptible to flooding, such as tunnels of rail transit systems, roads, railways and underground spaces, before coming up with targeted response measures, the notice said.
对于城市轨道交通、铁路、公路、市政道路的隧道、涵洞，及公共设施的地下空间等易积水的低洼区域，要形成城市易涝类风险隐患清单，并制定针对性防控措施。

China is facing severe floods as heavy rainfall and typhoons ravage many parts of the country, leading to many casualties and economic losses.
近日我国多地遭遇强降雨和台风袭击，严重洪涝灾害造成多人死亡，经济损失巨大。

>China puts forward two lists
中方向美方提出两份清单

China has put forward two lists to the US during talks with the visiting US deputy secretary of state in Tianjin, one of which is the List of US Wrongdoings that Must Stop and the other is the List of Key Individual Cases that China Has Concerns with, Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng said on Monday. Xie made the remarks at a press briefing after talks with US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman.
外交部副部长谢锋7月26日在天津同来访的美国常务副国务卿舍曼举行会谈后告诉媒体，会谈中，中方向美方提出两份清单，一份是要求美方纠正其错误对华政策和言行的清单，一份是中方关切的重点个案清单。

In the first list, China urged the US to unconditionally revoke the visa restrictions over Communist Party of China members and their families, revoke sanctions on Chinese leaders, officials and government agencies, and remove visa restrictions on Chinese students. China also urged the US to stop suppressing Chinese enterprises, stop harassing Chinese students, stop suppressing the Confucius Institutes, revoke the registration of Chinese media outlets as "foreign agents" or "foreign missions", and revoke the extradition request for Meng Wanzhou.
在纠错清单里，中方敦促美方无条件撤销对中共党员及家属的签证限制，撤销对中方领导人、官员、政府部门的制裁，取消对中国留学生的签证限制，停止打压中国企业，停止滋扰中国留学生，停止打压孔子学院，撤销将中国媒体登记为"外国代理人"或"外国使团"，撤销对孟晚舟的引渡要求，等等。

In another list, China expressed serious concerns to the US on some key individual cases, including some Chinese students' visa applications being rejected, Chinese citizens receiving unfair treatment in the US, Chinese diplomatic and consular missions being harassed and rammed into by perpetrators in the US, growing anti-Asian and anti-China sentiment, and Chinese citizens suffering violent attacks. China urged the US to address those cases as soon as possible and earnestly respect and protect the legitimate interests of Chinese citizens and institutions in the US.
在中方关切的重点个案清单里，中方主要就中国部分留学生赴美签证遭拒，中国公民在美遭受不公正待遇，美不法分子滋扰、冲撞我驻美使领馆，美国国内仇亚、反华情绪滋长，中国公民遭暴力袭击等个案向美方表达严重关切，要求美方尽快解决，切实尊重、保护中国公民和机构在美的合法权益。

>China to set up regional health centers
第二批区域医疗中心试点启动

China will begin establishing another 16 regional health centers in 2021 to provide the public with easier access to quality medical services, according to an official with the National Health Commission Saturday. In addition, the country also will push forward the establishment of national medical centers and national research centers for clinical medicine, said Li Bin, deputy head of the commission, at a conference on the reform on medicine and healthcare system held in Hefei, East China's Anhui province.
7月24日，国家卫健委副主任李斌在安徽合肥举办的2021全国深化医改经验推广会上表示，今年国家将启动第二批16个区域医疗中心试点建设，还将继续规划设置国家医学中心、临床医学研究中心等，放大国家级优质医疗资源。

The effort is in line with the State Council's requirement to balance the distribution of medical resources and improve the tiered system of diagnosis and treatment, conveyed in a document released in May.
今年5月，国务院办公厅印发通知，要求"促进优质医疗资源均衡布局，完善分级诊疗体系"。

The major task of the reform in the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025) is to ensure that patients receive proper medical services without leaving their native provincial-level regions, and that treatment for minor illness can be provided at their doorstep, said Xu Shuqiang, another commission official.
国家卫健委官员许树强说，"十四五"医改的主要任务是落实落地大病重病在本省(区市)就能解决，常见病、多发病在市县解决，头疼脑热在乡镇村解决。

Previously, China had already established regional health centers in eight provinces.
此前，我国已在8省份试点建设国家区域医疗中心。

"Next year, regional health centers in China will basically cover all provincial-level regions," Xu added.
"这意味着到明年基本可以实现区域医疗中心全国各省份全覆盖。"许树强说。

>ROK to return soldiers' remains
第八批在韩志愿军烈士遗骸将归国

China will receive the eighth batch of Chinese soldiers' remains from the Republic of Korea in September, the Chinese Ministry of Veterans Affairs said on Monday.
退役军人事务部7月26日发布消息称，第八批在韩志愿军烈士遗骸将于今年9月归国。

According to a decision made by officials from China and the ROK at a meeting in Beijing on Monday, a ceremony will be held in the ROK on Sept 2 for the handover of the remains.
中韩两国官员当日在北京举行磋商，根据双方达成的共识，双方将于9月2日在韩国举行烈士遗骸的交接仪式。

The two sides also agreed to deepen their cooperation in joint search, excavation and identification of other remains, the Chinese ministry said in a news release.
同时，双方表示将进一步深化两国在联合搜寻、发掘、鉴定在韩中国人民志愿军烈士遗骸领域的合作。

Commanded by Peng Dehuai, a total of 2.9 million Chinese People's Volunteer Army soldiers fought in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-53), and nearly 200,000 of them died in combat.
1950年至1953年，中国人民志愿军参加抗美援朝战争，彭德怀任司令员，几年间共290万余人次入朝作战，近20万名中国人民志愿军将士献出了宝贵生命。
