2022年前5个月数字人民币累计交易金额达830亿

Transactions in China's digital fiat currency, the e-CNY, hit 83 billion yuan at the end of May according to Zou Lan, an official from the People's Bank of China.
人民银行货币政策司司长邹澜在新闻发布会上表示，截至今年5月底，数字人民币的交易额达到830亿元。

A total of 264 million digital yuan transactions were undertaken during the period, and nearly 4.57 million commercial outlets accept digital yuan payments, she added.
期间通过数字人民币累计交易约2.64亿笔，已有近457万个商业网点可以使用数字人民币支付。

The central bank will further expand the scope of its pilot programs, strengthen pilot scenario construction and enhance international cooperation.

The US consumer price index rose 9.1 percent in June from a year earlier, the largest increase since 1981 and up from an 8.6 percent jump in May, the Labor Department said Wednesday.

The rising costs have seeped into nearly every corner of the economy. Gas prices have skyrocketed nearly 60 percent compared with a year ago, and grocery prices have jumped 12.2 percent. Rents have risen 5.8 percent, and airline fares are up 34 percent from a year earlier.

China will encourage more residential communities to evolve into low-carbon ones as part of the country's efforts to meet its climate goals. By 2030, about 60 percent of urban communities are expected to become "green communities," featuring more convenient, doorstep services in walking distance of residents, according to a government plan unveiled Wednesday by the country's housing and urban-rural development ministry and top economic planner.

> Doctor wants to open floating abortion clinic

A doctor plans to open a floating health clinic in the Gulf of Mexico where women can get surgical abortions.

PRROWESS, which stands for Protecting Reproductive Rights of Women Endangered by State Statutes, will offer reproductive health and wellness services, including contraception as well as surgical abortion up to 14 weeks.
