blast off: 发射；升空

blast off

"神舟"六号飞船于今天上午9时整在酒泉航天中心发射，执行这次任务的航天员是40岁的费俊龙和41岁的聂海胜。温家宝在出征仪式上发表讲话，为航天员送行。中国日报网站的报道中有这样一句话：The Shenzhou VI manned spacecraft blasted off with a loud launch noise for a multi-day orbital stay from its satellite launch center in Jiuquan in northwest China.

文中的blast off 的意思是"发射、升空"、"点火起飞"。如：The spaceship blasted off.（宇宙飞船发射升天了。）此外，lift off 也可表示（导弹、火箭等的）发射。
