3月8日的钟声就要敲响，每年的这个时候，总会有男士对身边的年轻女士说：“祝你节日快乐！” 也是每年的这个时候，总会听到那些女士回答：“我有那么老吗？”
三八国际妇女节，到底是为谁设的节日？难道是为七八十的老太？还是为专门提醒那些结了婚、看上去老气横秋的女人？
2007年3月8日，我们试图以最清晰明了的手法、从不同侧面向您传递这样一个信息：国际妇女节是全世界所有女人的节日，只要您在性别上可以被界定为“女”性，您就有权利和义务来接受来自各方的祝福。
同时，在您享受幸福和关爱的时候，请把目光投向这么一群弱势群体，让我们对世界说：“女子割礼，NO！荣誉杀害，NO！男性暴力，NO！”
同时，为了世界和平，我们甚至还可说，“性爱，NO!” |

 Aside from a brief history of the International Women's
Day (IWD), this article introduces to you the symbolic meaning of IWD,the
poem of "Bread & Roses " related to IWD and the themes for IWD
that UN puts on the top agenda of the year. Come on, lets enjoy the

为了反战，我们“性罢工”
 It is said that the world would not enjoy
permanent peace since men were born warriors; whereas others say that
there exists a mighty power to resist the eruption so long as women are
living. Here we introduce to you a project named after
Aristophane's anti-war comedy Lysistrata, that is, Let's make
love, not war!
有人说，世界上只要有男人存在就会有战争；也有人说，世界上只要有女人存在，就会有遏制战争的力量……不管这些说法正确与否，2006年妇女节，我们向您介绍国际上一个名为“International
Lysistrata
Project”的工程。“Lysistrata”的名字可追溯到古希腊时代的一部伟大的戏剧，意为“为了促使战争早日结束，女性们对男性施行‘性’罢工”……
关注“弱势群体”
 Although the prayers for peace and gender equality have
been ringing in the 21th century, there pravails such customs as
"hornor killings" and "female circumcision" in some other local
regions.
These hideous traditions are unfortunately imprinted on
the victims' memories, and meanwhile, they raise the alarm to the
world that women issues are far from being addressed.
In 1991, a
handful of men in Canada launched the "white ribbon" camaign,
which communicates the instimulating sign -- men
are opposed to sone other men's violence against
women.
21世纪的今天，世界和平、两性平等已经深入到全人类最真诚的祈祷声中……
可是，在世界的某些角落，依然存在着某种陋习——“女子割礼”、“荣誉杀害”——愚昧的风俗不仅仅在受害者心头留下永远的痛，也时时提醒着已经拥有幸福的男人和女人：关注女性问题。1991年，由一群加拿大男性公民倡议发起的“白丝带”活动，就是关注女性、保护女性的最好例证。
庆祝方式多姿彩
 Women's Day marks the role of women in both the past
and the present. However, the day is not a one-day routine.
The real challenge lies in the spontaneous flow of feelings --
honoring and celebrating womanhood on a particular March 8 only to forget
its importance the next day is sacrilegious.
“国际妇女节”意在凸显女性在社会中的重要角色。我们最大的挑战在于：3月8日这天，各种庆祝活动大张旗鼓；3月8日之后，一切“绚丽”关注烟消云散……
