Yan Zi

Yan Zi, born on November 12, 1984 in Sichuan, is a professional female tennis player from the People's Republic of China.

In 2005, she won her first WTA Tour singles title.

Her highest doubles ranking was No.4.In Women's Singles, she recently regained her top 100 rank at No.80 after a spectacular run at Canada's Rogers Cup, reaching the semifinals before finally being defeated by World No. 1 Justine Henin 3-6, 0-6. Her

career high ranking is #58, achieved on October 15, 2007.

 

She will show up at the CPPCC session together with former world speed-skating champion Ye Qiaobo and former world table tennis champion Deng Yaping.
