Miley costumes win Halloween
You may be aware of Miley Cyrus' online popularity in recent weeks. The hype surrounding the young, wild pop star has spilled over into Halloween celebrations. Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and his wife dressed up as Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus from their risqué performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. Paris Hilton dressed up in another costume from Miley's embarrassing performance that night. But the best Miley costume actually came from a pug recreating a scene from the singer's hit music video, "Wrecking Ball".
Gaga gets naked
Lady Gaga may have put on the most terrifying performance of the Halloween week. At a nightclub in London, Gaga -- who is known to use her body and outlandish fashion to make statements about body image and self-confidence -- stripped naked on stage in front of her audience. Even for a person who's message is positive and encouraging about women's body image, this was a bit over the top. Maybe we should have seen it coming, though, when she released her song, "Aura".
Knife in head? No big deal
We've seen plastic Halloween accessories that make it appear as if you've been stabbed in the head, but one man in China did not need a toy to look that freaky. While messing around with a buddy, a knife became lodged in his head. Photos and video of the man went viral, and he's now being called "Calm Brother" because he apparently walked to the hospital and waited for treatment without a panic.
This wacky world
A Norwegian hunter missed his target and accidentally shot a 70-year-old man in the stomach while he sat on the toilet in his house.
A Michigan woman who dressed up an abusive wife for Halloween was arrested for assaulting her husband outside a bar.
A maritime security organization said a new policy of blasting Britney Spears songs from the ships has been an effective way of fending off Somali pirates in the Atlantic Ocean.
A Swedish man stole 165 pounds of licorice from the back of a truck. What a swede way to celebrate Halloween
Buzz Word
Chill Dude (noun) -- The literal translation of “淡定哥" (dan ding ge) is "Calm Brother", but in English you would call this guy a chill dude.
1. Everyone at the party was dancing like crazy, but one chill dude was hanging out in the corner playing it cool.
2. The fire alarm went off at school, but this one chill dude walked out of the building like he was enjoying a stroll through the park.
