To serve and protect
Over in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, the police have an extra duty apart from their normal ones. The Kaohsiung Police are apparently now also pest control. Earlier this week a 20-year-old College student surnamed Wang called police after she had discovered a cockroach in dorm room! The police came and found the roach. After capturing the tiny fiend, the police set it free. Students and Netizens around Taiwan have criticized the student for wasting police resources. Taiwan is tropical and cockroaches are common on the island.
Babe in the big city
A female pig created waves across the Chinese internet recently after photos of her daring escape from a truck appeared online. The sow was on a truck headed for slaughter in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. For unknown reasons, the sow was able to get out of her confinement and escape the truck. In the process of the escape, the sow miraculously lands on her feet after a 16 foot drop. She is now in police custody, and the police have decided to give her a new lease on life.
Turn it down you old ladies
It’s that time of year again! The Chinese college entrance examinations or Gaokao are upon us and Chinese parents and high school students are on edge. Despite the tense nature of the time, old Chinese ladies continue to dance their dances in public squares. This dancing has drawn the ire of parents of students that are preparing for the Gaokao. In Beijing’s Fengtai district, parents went so far as to call the police to get the ladies to stop dancing during this period. Unfortunately, the old ladies weren’t taking any of it. After being told to turn off their music, the ladies just turned the music down a little and continued to dance on.
