2005国际旅游交易会近日在昆明召开。国家旅游局在新闻发布会宣布，我国已成为世界上发展速度最快的旅游目的地，同时我国也成为世界上迅速崛起的新兴客源国。

报道如下：Outbound travelby Chinese citizens started in 1997 with destinations consisting merely of Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines as well as China's Hong Kong and Macao. Only 5.32 million Chinese citizens traveled abroad the same year, the official said.

近年来，“出境游”在我国十分火热，英语中我们用outbound travel来表达，outbound的意思是“开往外国的”，那么“出境旅游者”就可说成outbound tourist。

再来看个例子：Outbound tours of Chinese citizens on public duty or for commercial affairs has decreased year after year.

这句话的意思就是：近年来中国公民的公务商务出境游呈逐年下降趋势。
