Over 1500 balding battery chickens have been given tiny knitted jumpers to keep warm thanks to an appeal launched by their rescuer Jo Eglen, a 29-year-old British woman, local media reported Monday. Jo Eglen, who has rescued 5750 battery hens, turned to her local community asking people to knit jumpers for the birds and received an overwhelming response.(See photo)
