Lin Miaoke (see photo), a 9-year-old Beijing girl who became a celebrity overnight for her performance at the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony, is going to play the role of child Lin Daiyu, the heroine of the famous Chinese classical novel A Dream of the Red Mansions, in a TV series of the same name. Li Shaohong, the director of the series, has yet to decide on the actress to play the role of grown-up Lin Daiyu.

据国内媒体报道，在北京奥运开幕式上一夜成名的北京9岁小女孩林妙可(见图)，将在新版《红楼梦》电视剧中扮演幼年林黛玉。目前，导演李少红还没有确定由谁来出演成年林黛玉。
