Britney Spears is losing her sex appeal. The 24-year-old singer is set to drop out of FHM's 100 sexiest women list, published in the British edition of the men's magazine later this year. 

Readers of the publication have so far put Welsh singer Charlotte Church , Kate Beckinsale and Tom Cruise's pregnant fiancée Katie Holmes ahead of the 2004 winner.

FHM editor Ross Brown admits it's hard to believe Britney has fallen so far. He is quoted in Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "A couple of years ago FHM readers couldn't get enough of Britney, and they unanimously agreed that she was by far the sexiest woman on the planet.

"I can only guess that a raft of less-than-flattering photographs and her general disappearance from our TVs and radios have left readers under the impression that Britney's lost her sex appeal."

The singer came 6th in last year's poll, but is down in 120th place so far, needing an extra 20 000 votes just to break into the top 100.

Britney - who has a baby son Sean Preston - has struggled to lose her pregnancy weight, and has been snapped in a number of ill fitting outfits since giving birth in September.

There is also speculation that she is expecting her second child with
aspiring rapper husband Kevin Federline.
