“俯卧撑”怎么说？

图片上的小家伙日前人气很旺，大家说这位“俯卧撑小子”简直要挑战吉尼斯记录了。“俯卧撑小子”陆地今年六岁，是河南一所武术学校的学生。他的拿手绝活就是做俯卧撑，能在200分钟内一口气做完10000个俯卧撑。

报道中的pushup就是“俯卧撑”，显然，pushup由动词词组push up（增加，提高）演变而来，“up”不言而喻指“向上”。
这里顺便再提几个与up有关体育项目：sit-up指“仰卧起坐”，chin-up和pull-up指“引体向上”，而chin-up和pull-up的区别在于手握单杠的方式不同（见图）。
最后，再介绍两个有关push的俚语用法，get the push指“解雇”；而push
drugs可用来形容“贩毒”。
