Dr Bhaskar Chakravarti, global director of English and Exams for the British Council had an exclusive interview with chinadaily.com.cn on April 23.
During the 40-minute conversation, he explained the importance of the International English Language Testing System, or IELTS, and how it has evolved over the years.
Chakravarti also gave advice to website and mobile phone readers on how to improve their English skills and what the British Council is doing to help more Chinese learn English.
