It is important that everyone contributes 贡献 to a meeting. Sometimes in a meeting you may feel you wish to raise a concern 提出关心的问题 or even disagree with colleagues. Do you have the language skills you need to do this politely?

In this programme our language expert Simon Cuddihy practises these skills with six Chinese students of English at the London School of Economics.

Think about the last time you raised a concern with someone in Chinese. It might have been with your boss at work, a lecturer at university, or even your parents. Do you remember what you said?

See if you can repeat your conversation, but this time in English. What language should you use to express your opinion? Remember to be polite!
