As millions of visitors descend on London to enjoy the greatest show on earth, many famous London landmarks have been transformed into Olympic venues.
The British Royal Family has always had a keen interest in sports. And the whole country celebrated as the Queen’s grand-daughter Zara Philips won silver in the equestrian team event for Great Britain.
It’s particularly fitting that a number of Olympic venues have royal connections. In this week’s programme, we introduce you to where royal horses guards are stationed, a stretch of road looking like a giant red carpet and a magnificent palace where Henry VIII lived.
