China has banned local governments from splashing out on pop stars
to boost state-funded ceremonies as part of its latest drive against graft,
local media said on Wednesday.
The State Council, China's cabinet, also ordered officials to crack down on
extravagant spending on tourist
junkets, elaborate receptions and luxurious offices, the Beijing
Morning Post said.
日常,我们可能会用“a trip/tour at public expense”来形容“公费(款)旅游”,不过,外电中的“tourist
junket/junket”更侧重指“政府官员拿公款旅游(a trip/tour made by an official at public
expense)”。
“A movie junket”或“a film's press
)。
