大使眼中的半边天：奥地利

Like many countries around the world, Austria struggles with a pay gap between its men and women. But women have the same access to education and job opportunities as men, Austria's ambassador to China, Irene Giner-Reichl, said. The country has also implemented gender budgeting, which requires officials at all levels to explicitly show how budget decisions will benefit women, the ambassador said. "Women have come a long way in Austria," she said, "but they still have some distance to go."

奥地利驻华大使艾琳娜博士在接受中国日报网独家专访时说，正如世界上许多的国家一样，奥地利也存在着男女之间薪酬分配不公的现象。但是奥地利女性享有和男性完全等同的接受教育和就业的机会。目前，奥地利还通过了一项立法，就是在制定预算时，需要特别标明这项预算将如何惠及女性。她表示，奥地利女性已经取得了很大的成就，但仍然需要继续前行。
