中央经济工作会议首提“习近平新时代中国特色社会主义经济思想”

中央经济工作会议12月18日至20日在北京举行。中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平，中共中央政治局常委、国务院总理李克强，国务院副总理张高丽，中共中央政治局常委栗战书、汪洋、王沪宁、赵乐际、韩正出席会议。

Xi Jinping Thought on Socialist Economy with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era has taken shape, according to a statement released after the Central Economic Work Conference concluded on Wednesday.
20日闭幕的中央经济工作会议指出，习近平新时代中国特色社会主义经济思想已经形成。

The thought is the "theoretical crystallization" of the past five years of practice in pushing forward China's economic development, the "latest fruit" of socialist political economy with Chinese characteristics, and the "extremely precious spiritual wealth" of the CPC and the country. It must be adhered to for a long time and developed continuously.
会议指出，习近平新时代中国特色社会主义经济思想，是5年来推动我国经济发展实践的理论结晶，是中国特色社会主义政治经济学的最新成果，是党和国家十分宝贵的精神财富，必须长期坚持、不断丰富发展。

中国特色社会主义进入新时代，我国经济发展也进入新时代。2018年是贯彻党的十九大精神的开局之年，是改革开放40周年，是决胜全面建成小康社会、实施“十三五”规划承上启下的关键一年。

如何绘就经济发展新时代的美好蓝图？这次中央经济工作会议传递出这些信号。

推动高质量发展

会议认为，中国特色社会主义进入了新时代，我国经济发展也进入了新时代，基本特征就是我国经济已由高速增长阶段（a phase of rapid growth）转向高质量发展阶段（a stage of high-quality development）。

推动高质量发展是当前和今后一个时期确定发展思路、制定经济政策、实施宏观调控的根本要求。
High-quality development is the fundamental requirement for determining the development path, making economic policies, and conducting macroeconomic regulation at present and in the period to come.
