《摩登家庭》S01E24：“纠结”用英语怎么说？

这一大家子人要拍全家福咯，结果每个人“满身泥浆”，却又是满脸笑容，这是为什么呢？

1. go nuts

口语里一般说的是go nuts，这里说get nuts是菲尔指了指自己上衣里的坚果。

go nuts的意思是大发雷霆，暴跳如雷。

My sister will go nuts when she finds out I crashed her car.

要是我姐姐发现我弄坏了她的车，她会气得发疯的。

2. stand out

stand out第一个意思是“显眼，突出”，因为菲尔是全家唯一一个没穿白裤子的人，所以这里克莱尔说他stand out。这个短语还形容“出众”。

We had lots of good applicants for the job, but one stood out from the rest.

我们这个职位有很多不错的申请者，但有一个人相当出众。

3. be uptight with

▲克莱尔和米奇尔打打闹闹争执不下。

uptight的意思是“紧张的；焦虑不安的”，通常和about搭配，形容感到心情焦躁。

Don't get uptight about the exam - just do your best.

对待考试不要太紧张——尽力而为吧。

★bunch可以表示“串；束；扎”，比如一束花就是a bunch of flowers；可以形容“一帮人”，一帮笨蛋就是a bunch of jerks。
