习近平将出席首届中国国际进口博览会开幕式

10月29日，商务部举行中外媒体吹风会。商务部国际贸易谈判代表兼副部长傅自应介绍习近平主席出席首届中国国际进口博览会开幕式有关情况，商务部副部长王炳南回答记者提问。

Xi will deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony and visit the country pavilions with foreign leaders, and he will meet heads of state and government during the CIIE which runs from Nov. 5 to 10 in Shanghai, Vice Commerce Minister Fu Ziying told a press conference.
商务部副部长傅自应介绍，习近平主席将出席开幕式，发表主旨演讲，并与中外领导人一起参观国家馆。博览会期间，习近平主席将会见有关外国国家元首及政府首脑。中国国际进口博览会将于11月5日到10日在上海举行。

中国国际进口博览会（China International Import Expo，CIIE）作为世界上第一个以进口为主题的大型国家级展会（the world's first import-themed national-level expo），包括展会（exhibition）和论坛（forum）两个部分。展会即国家贸易投资综合展（exhibition of countries，简称国家展）和企业商业展（exhibition of businesses，简称企业展），论坛即虹桥国际经贸论坛（the Hongqiao International Economic and Trade Forum）。

A total of 82 countries and three international organizations will showcase their achievements in economic and trade development as well as competitive products at 71 booths which cover an area of about 30,000 square meters, the vice minister said.
国家展共有82个国家、3个国际组织设立71个展台，展览面积约3万平方米，各参展国将展示国家形象、经贸发展成就和特色优势产品。

For the exhibition of businesses, more than 3,000 companies from over 130 countries have confirmed participation in the expo, with a total booth area of 270,000 square meters, he said.
企业展展览面积27万平方米，来自130多个国家的3000多家企业签约参展。

虹桥国际经贸论坛以“激发全球贸易新活力，共创开放共赢新格局（spurring new vitality of global trade, creating an open and win-win scenario）”为主题，由开幕式和三场平行论坛（three parallel sessions）组成。三场平行论坛的议题分别为“贸易与开放（trade and opening）”“贸易与创新（trade and innovation）”“贸易与投资（trade and investment）”。
