曾轶可就机场事件道歉

Chinese singer Zeng Yike apologized on Wednesday for her "inappropriate words and behavior" online after crossing swords with Beijing's border inspection authority.

在与北京边检民警发生争执之后，中国歌手曾轶可19日在网上道歉，承认自己言行失当。

Posts by Zeng on Sina Weibo on Monday accused the border police at the Beijing Capital International Airport of treating her unfairly. She even exposed the police officer's card information online with nine pictures.

17日，曾轶可在新浪微博上发贴，称自己遭到北京首都国际机场边检民警的不公正对待，还用9张图曝光了边检民警的工作证信息。

According to the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, Zeng ignored police requests several times for facial checks with her hat off and later cursed the staff.

根据北京出入境边防检查总站的通报，曾轶可多次无视民警让其脱帽进行面相对比的要求，之后还对民警爆粗口。

She was then guided to leave the lane for further inspection. During the process, Zeng was reluctant to cooperate with the border check and even photographed the police twice at a close range.

随后，民警将其带离通道，做进一步处理。期间，曾轶可不服从检查，两次近距离对民警拍照。

The notice also listed two border control regulations, indicating Zeng's behavior broke the rules.

通报还列出《中华人民共和国出境入境管理法》中的两条规定，指出曾的行为已违法。

Performances by Zeng have been canceled following the controversy.

大闹边检的事情发生后，曾轶可的多个演出已被叫停。

A politician in northwestern Pakistan was given paws for thought after his press conference was streamed live on Facebook with the "cat filter" turned on, giving him on-screen whiskers and ears.

巴基斯坦西北部的一名政界人士在脸书上直播新闻发布会时，因猫咪滤镜被打开，导致他在屏幕上"长出了"胡子和猫耳朵，引来热议。

There's "a cat in the cabinet" one said. Others were more literal: "Shaukat Yousafzai looks like a cat - Meow meow meow".

一名网友说："碗橱里有一只猫。"(原短语是a skeleton in the cabinet，意为"不为人知的家丑")其他网友则更直白："肖卡特·尤萨夫扎伊看起来像一只猫——喵喵喵"。

The video was deleted minutes after the press conference from the official Facebook page of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.

这段视频在新闻发布会开完几分钟后就从巴基斯坦正义运动党的脸书官方页面上被删除。

Yousafzai confirmed the incident and said it happened by accident. "I wasn't the only one - two officials sitting along me were also hit by the cat filter," he joked.

尤萨夫扎伊证实了这一事件，并表示这是个意外。他笑称："我不是唯一一个变成'猫脸'的人，坐在我旁边的两名官员也被猫咪滤镜击中了。"

A press statement, issued by the PTI social media team said the incident happened because of "human error". "All necessary actions have been taken to avoid such incidents in future," it said.

12所中国高校跻身百强

A total of 12 Chinese academic institutions have been included in the global top 100 of the sixteenth edition of the QS World University Rankings, released on Wednesday by London-based higher education analysts Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). Six of the universities are from the Chinese mainland.

19日，位于伦敦的高等教育分析机构QS发布第16版"QS世界大学排行榜"，共有12所中国高校跻身QS世界百强榜，其中包括6所中国内地大学。

Tsinghua University is China's highest-ranked university in the list, rising to 16th from last year's 17th.

清华大学是榜单上排名最高的中国大学，位列第16位，较去年上升一位。

Peking University rose eight places to reach 22nd place globally.

北京大学的世界排名上升了8位，至第22位。

Both universities have achieved their best rankings since the list was first published in 2004.

清华和北大都取得了自2004年首次发布该榜以来的最高名次。

Globally, Massachusetts Institute of Technology was named the world's leading university for a record-breaking eighth consecutive year in the rankings, while Asia's top universities are the Nanyang Technological University and the National University of Singapore, both in 11th place.
全球方面，麻省理工学院连续第八年蝉联榜首，创下历史纪录。亚洲排名最高的大学为南洋理工大学和新加坡国立大学，并列世界第11位。

>Amazon's secured credit card
亚马逊推有担保信用卡

Amazon unveiled a new secured credit card with Synchrony Bank, aimed at customers with bad or no credit history.

近日，亚马逊和同步银行针对信用记录不良或无信用记录的用户推出一款新型有担保的信用卡。

"There's always going to be people that we can't give credit to - this is a large population that we weren't able to reach," said Tom Quindlen, Synchrony executive vice president and CEO of the bank's retail card operation. "It's a new segment of the market.
