2019工业互联网全球峰会10月18日在辽宁沈阳召开。国家主席习近平致贺信。习近平指出，中国高度重视工业互联网创新发展，愿同国际社会一道，持续提升工业互联网创新能力，推动工业化与信息化在更广范围、更深程度、更高水平上实现融合发展。
President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the Industrial Internet Global Summit that opened Friday in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning province. China attaches great importance to the innovative development of the industrial internet, Xi said, adding that China is willing to work with the international community to enhance the innovation capability of the industrial internet, so as to realize the integrated development of industrialization and informatization on a broader, deeper and higher level.

工业互联网是第四次工业革命的重要基石，是新一代网络信息技术与制造业深度融合的产物，是我国实现制造强国、网络强国的重要战略机遇。2017年11月，国务院印发《关于深化“互联网+先进制造业”发展工业互联网的指导意见》。《意见》提出三个阶段发展目标：到2025年，覆盖各地区、各行业的工业互联网网络基础设施基本建成，工业互联网标识解析体系不断健全并规模化推广，基本形成具备国际竞争力的基础设施和产业体系；到2035年，建成国际领先的工业互联网网络基础设施和平台，工业互联网全面深度应用并在优势行业形成创新引领能力，重点领域实现国际领先；到本世纪中叶，工业互联网创新发展能力、技术产业体系以及融合应用等全面达到国际先进水平，综合实力进入世界前列。
