China’s tourists are set to stick close to home and take advantage of discounts as they take time off for the first major holiday since the easing of coronavirus lockdowns, offering a glimpse of what travel may look like after the epidemic.

Jiang Qin, a 38-year-old Beijing office worker, said she was going away but not too far. She aimed to take her 2-year-old daughter to the nearby city of Tianjin, having scrapped a plan to go to Hainan because of Beijing’s quarantine requirements.

However, industry executives warn that it's too soon to say how robust the recovery in holiday travel will be given concern about a second wave of the coronavirus.

International travel remains out of the question for most, due to border restrictions imposed by other countries, a lack of flights and two weeks of quarantine that await people coming back to China.

故宫博物院

故宫博物院4月29日晚发布恢复开放公告，自5月1日起有序开放，实行预约、错峰、限流参观。公告发布同时，门票预约系统开放预约。

故宫目前每日限流5000人(8:30-13:00,3000人；13:00-16:00,2000人)，仅为疫情前每天8万人限流量的1/16。目前旺季票价60元。截至4月30日早上，故宫博物院“五一”假期的门票已被预约一空。“五一”想去故宫的游客，还可关注是否有退票。

中国国家博物馆

结合当前常态化疫情防控工作要求，疫情防控期间，国博暂时取消了夜间场次。

此外，两座博物馆均明确提出，请观众按预约时间有序参观，非预约时间段将拒绝入内。同时出示有效身份证原件，提前准备好本人实时“健康码”（通过“北京健康宝”小程序申领），接受健康监测，显示“未见异常”方可入院。

黄山风景区

假期期间，黄山风景区开放时间由目前的6:00提前至5:00，并严格执行景区日接待量不超过核定最大承载量30%即15000人的限流规定，并加强景区内重点区域的流量管控。景区南大门、北大门日接待游客限量分别为13500人、1500人。

游客需注意的是，自4月29日起，景区门票实行至少提前一天线上实名预约管理，即当日(0时-24时)不能预约当日门票；未预约游客不得进入景区，景区不提供现场购票服务；享受免票政策的游客亦须完成提前预约流程。

云台山景区

“五一”假日期间，景区实行网上实名制预约购票，游客可通过“云台山景区”官方微信公众号、美团、携程等电商平台订票。在客流量方面，景区最大承载量为8.1万人，“五一”假期日接待游客量限定2.4万人，即景区最大承载量的30%。

苏州园林

景区开放时间：已恢复至正常开放时间，在苏州夜间经济发展第一季（4月25日至6月25日）期间，虎丘、拙政园、耦园、怡园四个园林景区对外开放时间，从原7：30至17：30，延长为7：30至19：00。

所有游客入园一律实行网上实名制预约或购票（含扫码购票）（购票成功即预约成功），游客凭身份证等有效证件可提前7天预约或购票。入园需要核验有效证件，体温检测无异常，正确佩戴口罩，“苏城码”检测为绿色，符合条件者方可入园。
