The mainstream social psychology in China is positive, healthy and upbeat despite the challenges brought by the COVID-19 outbreak, according to a survey report unveiled Tuesday.
2月2日发布的一份调查报告显示，虽然新冠肺炎疫情带来挑战，但我国社会心态主流积极健康、向上向好。
Conducted by the National Bureau of Statistics, the survey showed more people were satisfied with their gains from the country's economic and social development, and their living conditions, with the satisfaction level increasing by 17.8 and 4.2 percentage points, respectively, from 2016.
这份由国家统计局实施的调查的结果显示，更多群众对自己在经济社会发展中的获益程度、以及对个人和家庭生活状况表示满意，两项满意度分别较2016年提高17.8个百分点和4.2个百分点。
The proportion of respondents who deemed society "very safe" and "relatively safe" is 20.7 percentage points higher than in 2016.

The survey, which kicked off in September last year, was based on questionnaires covering adult residents sampled in 16 provincial-level regions and field research in eight provincial-level regions across China.
去年9月起，国家统计局对16省份部分成年居民进行问卷调查，并赴8个省份组织实地调研，在此基础上形成了这份报告。

>Progress on wetland conservation
湿地保护工作成效显著
Wetlands in China have expanded steadily over the past five years, growing by 202,600 hectares and making a significant contribution to water quality and environmental protection, an official from the National Forestry and Grassland Administration said on Tuesday.
国家林业和草原局湿地管理司副司长李琰2月2日在新闻发布会上表示，过去五年，我国湿地保护工作稳步推进，新增湿地面积20.26万公顷，为净化水质、保护生态环境发挥了显著作用。
Between 2016 and last year, China established 201 national wetland parks, said Li Yan, deputy head of the administration's wetland management office. At a news conference on Tuesday, Li said China had 899 national wetland parks by the end of 2020, and half of the country's wetlands are protected by some level of government.
李琰说，2016-2020年，我国新增国家湿地公园201处，截至2020年国家湿地公园共899处，我国湿地保护率达到50%以上。
Tuesday was World Wetlands Day, marking the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands on Feb 2, 1971, in Ramsar, Iran.
为纪念1971年2月2日《湿地公约》在伊朗南部海滨小城拉姆萨尔签署，每年的2月2日被确定为世界湿地日。
China joined the convention on July 31, 1992.
中国于1992年7月31日加入《湿地公约》。

>85% of users scan QR codes to pay
二维码支付用户占比85%
With the development of information technology, mobile payment has more deeply penetrated Chinese consumers' daily lives, with 85% of users having scanned QR codes to pay last year, up 6 percentage points from 2019, according to a report released by the Chinese card payment giant China UnionPay.
中国银联近日发布报告称，随着信息技术的不断发展，移动支付已渗透到消费者生活的各个领域，2020年二维码支付用户占比达85%，较2019年提升了6个百分点。
The survey found 98% of respondents considered mobile payment as the most commonly used payment method, up 5 percentage points from a year earlier.

Chinese people used mobile payments three times a day on average, the report said.

The ratio of those using it more than three times a day rose 11% from 2019, while 25% of respondents paid via mobile phone more than five times a day.

About 30% of respondents said they purchase daily necessities via livestreaming, the report said, adding that new online payment platforms, which have been integrated into small brick-and-mortar shops such as street vendors, vegetable markets and fruit stores, have gained popularity among consumers.

>Vlogger breaks world record again

The official Sina Weibo account of the Guinness World Records announced on Tuesday that Chinese vlogger Li Ziqi broke the world record for "most subscribers for a Chinese language channel on YouTube" set by Li herself, with 14.1 million subscribers on Jan 25.
吉尼斯世界纪录官方微博2月2日宣布，1月25日，中国短视频博主李子柒以1410万的YouTube订阅量刷新了由她本人创下的"YouTube中文频道最多订阅量"的吉尼斯世界纪录。
In 2017, Li released her first video on YouTube explaining how to dye a dress using the skins of grapes.
2017年，李子柒在YouTube上发布了第一个视频"如何用葡萄皮染布做裙子"。
She went viral overseas afterward with her short videos about cooking Chinese food, making traditional Chinese handicrafts such as embroidery and living an idyllic rural life in China.
之后，她用短视频展现中国食物的烹制过程、制作刺绣等传统中国手工艺品以及乡村田园生活，在海外走红。
On July 16 last year, she had 11.4 million subscribers on YouTube, breaking the Guinness record at the time.

Experts say she successfully teaches people to appreciate Chinese culture around the world.
