>Probe set to enter Mars orbit
'天问一号'即将近火制动
China's Tianwen 1 Mars probe is set to enter the orbit of the red planet around Feb 10, two days before Chinese New Year, according to China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp. The State-owned conglomerate said in a statement on Wednesday afternoon the spacecraft will conduct a "braking" operation to decelerate and make sure it will be captured by Martian gravity.
中国航天科技集团有限公司2月3日下午发布声明称，我国的火星探测器"天问一号"预计将在2月10日左右，也就是春节前两天，进行关键"刹车"，即在临近火星的位置减速，使自己被火星引力捕获，从而进入环火轨道。
Tianwen 1 has flown for 196 days and traveled more than 450 million kilometers on its journey to the planet. It is now around 170 million km from Earth.
"天问一号"探测器已经在轨飞行196天，总飞行里程超过4.5亿公里，目前距地球约1.7亿公里。
Depending on the two planets' orbits, Mars is between 55 and 400 million km from Earth.
火星与地球的距离在5500万公里至4亿公里之间变化，取决于两者的运行轨道。

>Short video users surge by 100M
短视频用户规模达8.73亿
The number of online short video users in China reached 873 million by the end of last year, surging 100 million compared with March 2020 and accounting for 88% of the internet-using population, according to a report on China's internet development released Wednesday.
中国互联网络信息中心2月3日发布的《中国互联网络发展状况统计报告》显示，截至2020年12月，我国网络短视频用户规模8.73亿，较2020年3月增长1亿，占网民整体的88%，网络视频节目质量大幅提升。
The report, issued by the China Internet Network Information Center, notes the quality improvement of online video programs. Per the report, China's streaming platforms have been improving their business models and investing more in short videos to bring audiences more quality content.
报告称，国内各大流媒体平台优化商业模式，加大对短视频的投资，为用户推出更多优质内容。
At the same time, short video platforms are introducing trial projects such as mini dramas or shows, before gradually landing in the field of long videos.
与此同时，短视频片平台也开始推出"微剧"、"微综艺"来试水，再逐渐进入长视频领域。

>Olympics Playbook published

Singing or chanting will be discouraged at the postponed Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics to safeguard against the spread of coronavirus.

Instead, those attending the Olympics and Paralympics will be encouraged to clap in order to show support.

He will be replaced by 53-year-old Andy Jassy, the current CEO of the Amazon empire cloud business Amazon Web Services.
