>1.3B doses of COVID vaccines administered
全国新冠疫苗接种剂次超13亿


More than 1.3 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in China as of Sunday, as the country continues to ramp up its inoculation drive, the National Health Commission announced on Monday.
我国继续加快推进新冠疫苗接种,据国家卫健委7月5日通报,截至7月4日,全国累计接种新冠病毒疫苗超过13亿剂次。


China accelerated its pace of free COVID-19 vaccinations for the whole nation in late March. It took China 25 days to climb from 100 million doses to 200 million doses, 16 days to increase from 200 million to 300 million, and just six days to move from 800 million to 900 million.
今年3月下旬以来,我国新冠疫苗全民免费接种提速,累计接种剂次从1亿到2亿用了25天,从2亿到3亿用了16天,从8亿到9亿仅用了6天。


By June 19, China had administered in excess of 1 billion doses, the commission announced on June 20.
国家卫健委6月20日宣布,截至6月19日,全国累计接种新冠病毒疫苗超过10亿剂次。


By June 24, the cumulative figure exceeded 1.1 billion, and by June 28, the number surpassed 1.2 billion.
到6月24日,累计接种超11亿剂次。到6月28日,累计接种超12亿剂次。


Experts with the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention have called for vaccine dose schedules to be completed in full to achieve the best possible preventative effect.
中国疾控中心专家呼吁民众要及时完成全程免疫接种,才能产生理想的免疫效果。

>Heritage sites generate 14b yuan annually
自然遗产保护增加旅游收入


China's natural sites inscribed on the World Heritage List have brought about an annual income of over 14 billion yuan from tourism to local people, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration said. China currently boasts 14 listed natural heritage sites and four mixed ones, both cultural and natural, administration spokesperson Yan Chenggao said at a news conference Monday.
国家林业和草原局相关负责人严承高7月5日在新闻发布会上表示,我国有世界自然遗产14项,世界自然与文化双遗产4项,我国自然遗产保护每年为遗产地带来超140亿元旅游直接收入。


Widely distributed throughout the country, China's natural heritage sites protect around 70,500 square kilometers of natural space. They have also preserved cultural relics and intangible cultural heritage, as well as historical and cultural sites.
我国自然遗产分布范围广、面积大,不仅保护了总面积达7.05万平方公里的重要自然生态系统和自然遗迹,还保存了众多文物保护单位、非物质文化遗产和历史文化遗迹。

>Largest planetarium to open in SH
全球最大天文馆亮相上海


The Shanghai Astronomy Museum, the world's largest planetarium in terms of building scale, will open on July 17, the planetarium announced Monday. The museum will open to the public on July 18. Covering an area of approximately 58,600 square meters, the museum is located in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Lingang Special Area. It is a branch of the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum.
据上海天文馆7月5日消息,全球建筑规模最大的天文馆——上海天文馆(上海科技馆分馆)计划于7月17日正式开馆,7月18日起对公众开放。上海天文馆位于上海自贸区临港新片区,占地面积约5.86万平方米。


Tests were carried out on Monday, and the official website and WeChat account of the museum have also been launched.
7月5日,上海天文馆启动压力测试,官方网站和微信账号也已上线。


The museum has an 8K ultra-high definition dome theater and exhibition areas covering various topics. Some 70 meteorites including those from the moon, Mars and Vesta, as well as over 120 collections of artifacts, including original works from Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei and Johannes Kepler, will be on display.

>Restrictions set to end in England
英国本月19日起大解封


Most coronavirus restrictions are set to end on July 19 as part of the final step of England's roadmap out of the lockdown, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed Monday. Face masks and distancing rules will no longer be legally required in England from July 19, Johnson told a news conference at Downing Street.
英国首相鲍里斯•约翰逊7月5日在唐宁街召开的新闻发布会上证实,作为英格兰解封计划的最后一步,将于7月19日起结束多数新冠疫情限制措施,不再要求必须佩戴口罩、保持社交距离。

Britain reported another 27,334 coronavirus cases in the 24-hour period, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 4,930,534, according to official figures released Monday.

More than 45.3 million people in Britain have received the first jab of COVID-19 vaccine and over 33.7 million people have received two doses, the official figures showed.
