可持续发展大数据国际研究中心9月6日在北京正式揭牌成立，这是全球首个以大数据服务联合国2030年可持续发展议程的国际科研机构。
China established an International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Beijing on Sept 6. It is the world's first international scientific research institution using big data to facilitate the implementation of the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

可持续发展大数据国际研究中心是中国为支持联合国在国际事务中发挥核心作用的实质举措，为全球科学家参与和推动实现可持续发展目标提供的全新平台。可持续发展大数据国际研究中心确立有五大任务，包括研发和建设可持续发展大数据平台、开展可持续发展指标监测与评估科学研究、研制和运行可持续发展科学卫星、建设科技创新促进可持续发展智库、提供面向发展中国家的教育和培训。
可持续发展大数据国际研究中心面向可持续发展目标实现的重大需求，在地球大数据科学工程专项基础上，建设多学科融合的可持续发展大数据云服务系统平台，建立全球可持续发展目标监测与评估体系，建成具有全球影响力的可持续发展大数据国际研究中心，为联合国和中国落实2030年可持续发展议程提供科技支撑。

设立可持续发展大数据国际研究中心是我在第75届联合国大会上宣布的支持落实联合国2030年可持续发展议程的重要举措。2030年议程为各国发展和国际发展合作提出了明确目标。当前，世界正遭受新冠肺炎疫情巨大冲击，科技创新和大数据应用将有利于推动国际社会克服困难、在全球范围内落实2030年议程。
The founding of the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals is an important move to implement my call at the 75th Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly to support the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which sets clear goals for national development as well as global development and cooperation. The world is reeling under the huge impact of COVID-19. The sci-tech innovation and application of big data will help the international community to overcome difficulties and implement the UN 2030 Agenda globally.
