>Shanghai gears up for the 4th CIIE
第四届进博会开幕在即

The fourth China International Import Expo is scheduled to be held from Nov 5 to 10 in Shanghai.
第四届中国国际进口博览会将于11月5日至10日在上海举行。

The total exhibition area of this year's CIIE will be further expanded to 366,000 square meters. Over 80% of Fortune Global 500 and industrial leaders who participated in the fair last year will return for the fourth CIIE, according to Sun Chenghai, deputy head of the CIIE Bureau.
中国国际进口博览局副局长孙成海日前介绍，本届进博会总展览面积进一步扩容，达到36.6万平方米。世界500强和行业龙头企业参展回头率超过80%。

From the purchasing side, more than 1,200 buyers with an annual import value of over $100 million have been attracted to this year's CIIE, and 39 trading groups and 599 subgroups have been drawn to the event for professional procurement, Sun said.
从采购商方面看，共有39个交易团、599个分团到会开展专业采购。报名采购商年进口额1亿美元以上的超过1200家。

From the exhibitor side, nearly 3,000 businesses from 127 countries and regions will participate in this year's CIIE.

A total of 58 countries and three international organizations will take part in the country exhibition, which will see 15 countries joining this exhibition for the first time and five making their debut at the CIIE, according to Sun.

>New measures to facilitate life services
'生活性服务业30条'出台

Chinese authorities have introduced a set of new measures to shore up the weak links in the country's life services sector and improve people's quality of life, according to a document published on Tuesday.
我国有关部门11月2日发布《关于推动生活性服务业补短板上水平提高人民生活品质的若干意见》。

The document puts forward 30 measures covering nine areas, including the promotion of services that help the elderly with their meals and other daily needs in major cities, so that such services will gradually cover over 80% of communities in five years, and support the private sector to participate in the development of urban childcare services.
意见包括9方面30项举措，包括推动大城市加快发展老年助餐、居家照护服务，力争五年内逐步覆盖80%以上社区；支持城市利用社会力量发展托育服务设施等。

The document stressed the importance of efforts to strengthen the supply of basic welfare services, increase the supply of inclusive life services and vigorously develop community services for the convenience of residents.
意见强调，要加强公益性基础性服务供给，扩大普惠性生活服务供给，大力发展社区便民服务。

Measures to shore up existing weak links include improving community-level service facilities, providing large-scale vocational training programs, and creating a market-oriented, law-based and internationalized business environment.
意见提出一系列补短板举措，包括推动社区基础服务设施达标，开展大规模职业技能培训，打造市场化法治化国际化营商环境等。

>Development of subsidized rental housing
保障性租赁住房已开工72万套

In the first nine months, 40 cities across the country have started the construction of 720,000 government-subsidized apartment units, accounting for 76.9% of their full-year target of 936,000 units, showed data from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
住房和城乡建设部近日公布的数据显示，今年全国40个正在建设保障性租赁住房的城市，计划新筹集保障性租赁住房93.6万套。1-9月，已开工72万套，占全年计划的76.9%。

The cities of Nanjing, Wuxi, Ningbo, Foshan, Changchun and Nanning have met their annual targets of adding government-subsidized rental housing, the ministry said.
其中，南京、无锡、宁波、佛山、长春、南宁等6个城市已完成年度计划。

The subsidized rental housing features low-cost and small apartments built to mainly address the housing demand of new dwellers and young people in big cities.

Developing subsidized rental housing is one of the priorities of housing development, said the housing ministry, adding that initial progress has been made and experience has been accumulated that can be replicated later.
住建部表示，加快发展保障性租赁住房是住房保障工作的重中之重。推动发展保障性租赁住房取得初步成效，形成了一批可复制、可推广的经验。

>Shanghai Disney Resort resumes operations

Shanghai Disneyland and Disneytown will resume operations Wednesday after a temporary closure for COVID-19 control, the facility said in a statement on Tuesday.
上海迪士尼度假区11月2日发布消息，因新冠疫情防控而短暂关闭的上海迪士尼乐园和迪士尼小镇将于11月3日起恢复运营。

All cast members and third-party employees returning to work in the resort have completed two nucleic acid tests within 48 hours, with all results negative.
