>Measures to keep foreign trade stable
国办发文促进外贸平稳发展

The country will further open up the economy and carry out cross-cyclical adjustments to support medium, small and micro-sized foreign trade companies, and guarantee their orders and stabilize expectations, according to guidelines on further stabilizing foreign trade released by the State Council.
近日，国务院办公厅印发《关于做好跨周期调节进一步稳外贸的意见》指出，要进一步扩大开放，做好跨周期调节，助企纾困特别是扶持中小微外贸企业，努力保订单、稳预期。

The guidelines detailed 15 measures including fiscal and financial support for foreign trade companies as well as incentives for new forms of businesses in foreign trade.
《意见》提出15条政策措施，包括加强对外贸企业财税金融政策支持，以及进一步鼓励外贸新业态发展等。

China will also adopt measures to ease the supply chain risks for foreign trade companies and encourage them to sign long-term deals with shipping firms.
《意见》指出，要采取措施缓解国际物流等外贸供应链压力。鼓励外贸企业与航运企业签订长期协议。

The guidelines stressed efforts on imports of bulk commodities to ensure sufficient domestic supply.
做好大宗商品进口工作，积极保障大宗商品国内供给。

The country will further enhance trade liberalization and facilitation, and use the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership as an opportunity to further stabilize foreign trade, the guidelines said.
提升贸易自由化便利化水平，将《区域全面经济伙伴关系协定》生效实施作为稳外贸重要抓手。

>China's steel output declines in 2021
2021年我国钢铁生产如期减量

China produced an estimated 1.03 billion tons of steel last year, down 35 million tons from 2020, said the China Iron and Steel Association on Monday.
中国钢铁工业协会1月10日表示，预计2021年全年钢产量为10.3亿吨，比上年减少约3500万吨。

In the first 11 months of 2021, China's steel production reached 946 million tons, decreasing 2.6% year on year.
2021年前11个月，全国钢产量9.46亿吨，同比下降2.6%。

The steel and iron industry's combined profits surged 86.46%, year on year, to 351.7 billion yuan, during the January-November period last year as rising costs and demand pushed up prices.
