> China sees 251M Spring Festival trips
春节假期国内游出游2.51亿人次

China has seen around 251 million domestic trips during the seven-day Spring Festival holiday starting from Jan 31, figures from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism showed. This year's domestic trips declined by 2% year on year, with nearly 289.2 billion yuan generated in domestic tourism revenue.
文化和旅游部发布的数据显示，2022年春节假期7天，全国国内旅游出游2.51亿人次，同比减少2%；实现国内旅游收入2892亿元。

No major accidents occurred in the culture and tourism sector, and the market has remained stable and orderly during the holiday, the ministry said.
全国文化和旅游系统未发生重特大安全事故，假日市场总体安全平稳有序。

Bing Dwen Dwen, the mascot of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, has won hearts of millions after the Winter Olympics opened on Friday, becoming a favorite of international athletes, media and members of the public.
自2月4日北京冬奥会开幕以来，冬奥会吉祥物冰墩墩已成为全球运动员、媒体和公众心目中的顶流明星。

Merchandise featuring the mascot, such as keychains and dolls, has already sold out at officially licensed online retailers and many physical shops and "Bing Dwen Dwen sold out" has become a trending topic on Sina Weibo, with many netizens expressed their wish to own at least one Bing Dwen Dwen.

Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson on Sunday declared a state of emergency to deal with a nine-day protest that has disrupted the core of the Canadian capital.
加拿大首都渥太华市市长吉姆•沃森2月6日宣布该市进入紧急状态。已持续9天的抗议活动导致渥太华核心区域瘫痪。

The declaration "reflects the serious danger and threat to the safety and security of residents posed by the ongoing demonstrations and highlights the need for support from other jurisdictions and levels of government," a statement issued by the city read.
