The total number of Chinese museums rose by 395 to 6,183 in 2021, 90 percent of them offering free admission, said a senior cultural official Wednesday. Li Qun, vice minister of culture and tourism and head of the National Cultural Heritage Administration, gave the figures while addressing an event held in Central China's Wuhan city to mark International Museum Day via video link.
5月18日，2022年“5•18国际博物馆日”中国主会场活动开幕式在武汉举行。文化和旅游部副部长、国家文物局局长李群在视频连线致辞中说，2021年，我国新增备案博物馆395家，备案博物馆总数达6183家，九成以上博物馆免费开放。

Chinese museums received a total of 779 million visitors last year, and the exhibitions and training sessions they presented online drew 4.1 billion views, figures showed.
最新数据显示，2021年我国博物馆接待观众7.79亿人次，线上展览和线上教育活动网络总浏览量超过41亿人次。

The total output value of China's satellite navigation and location services industry reached 469 billion yuan in 2021, up 16.29 percent from the previous year, according to an industry white paper released on Wednesday.
中国卫星导航定位协会5月18日发布的《2022中国卫星导航与位置服务产业发展白皮书》显示，2021年我国卫星导航与位置服务产业总体产值达到4690亿元人民币，较2020年增长16.29%。

China remained the top source of international satellite navigation patent applications last year, with a total of 98,000 applications, said the white paper issued by the Global Navigation Satellite System and Location Based Service Association of China.
2021年，中国卫星导航专利申请累计总量突破9.8万件，继续保持全球领先。

Applications of the homegrown BeiDou Navigation Satellite System have been widely introduced into business fields and daily life, said Sun Zhongliang, deputy head of the association, adding that mass consumption has become one of the major sectors for BeiDou applications.

China remains a priority market for companies from the United States, with many of them believing it is vital to stay competitive in this market in order to win globally, the American Chamber of Commerce in China said in a white paper on Tuesday.
中国美国商会5月17日发布白皮书称，中国仍然是美国企业的首选市场，许多美国企业认为，要成为全球赢家，在中国市场保持竞争力至关重要。

The document, the 24th edition of the American Business in China White Paper, said that AmCham China's member companies stand committed to the Chinese market.

About 83 percent of them report they are not considering relocating manufacturing or sourcing outside of China.

The new number is an increase of 71 cases from May 5.

There have been no reported deaths since February 2022, and the proportion of pediatric patients requiring liver transplants has gone down from 15 percent to 9 percent since May 5, according to the CDC.
