>China adds 6.5m master's graduates over 10 years
我国十年培养650多万名硕士研究生

China saw more than 600,000 new graduates with doctoral degrees and 6.5 million new graduates with master's degrees in the last 10 years, providing invaluable support for the country's development, the Ministry of Education said on Tuesday. Apart from making steady progress in developing academic degree programs, China has stepped up its efforts in professional degree programs, Hong Dayong, head of the ministry's Department of Degree Management and Postgraduate Education, said at a news conference.
6月14日，教育部学位管理与研究生教育司司长洪大用在新闻发布会上介绍，党的十八大以来，全国800多个研究生培养单位向社会输送60多万名博士和650多万名硕士，为党和国家事业发展提供了有力人才支撑。

Recipients of professional master's degrees accounted for 35 percent of all new master's degree recipients in 2012, while the ratio rose to 58 percent in 2021. The ratio for professional doctoral degree recipients increased from 5.8 percent to 9 percent during the same period.
十年来，我国研究生教育在稳步发展学术学位的同时，大力发展专业学位，硕士专业学位授予人数占比从2012年的35%增至2021年的58%，博士专业学位授予人数占比从5.8%增至9%。

>China aims for climate-resilient society by 2035
到2035年我国气候适应型社会基本建成

China will seek to build a climate-resilient society by 2035 with significant improvements in its ability to adapt to climate change, according to the national climate change adaptation strategy jointly released by 17 departments including the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. By 2035, the country's climate change monitoring and early warning capability will reach an advanced level globally, while the climate risk management and prevention system will have matured. China will also take measures to prevent and control major climate-related disaster risks in an effective manner, and further improve the technical and standard system for adapting to climate change.
生态环境部等17部门近日联合印发了《国家适应气候变化战略2035》，提出到2035年，气候变化监测预警能力要达到同期国际先进水平，气候风险管理和防范体系基本成熟，重特大气候相关灾害风险得到有效防控，适应气候变化的技术体系和标准体系更加完善，全社会适应气候变化能力显著提升，气候适应型社会基本建成。

>China harvests over 80% of wheat
夏粮主产区收获小麦过八成

China has harvested 84.1 percent of its wheat as of Tuesday, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. The country has reaped 256 million mu (17.07 million hectares) of wheat, over 98 percent of which was machine harvested.
农业农村部6月14日发布的小麦机收进度显示，全国已收获小麦面积2.56亿亩，收获进度84.1%，机收占比超98%。

The harvest in Central China's Henan province and East China's Jiangsu province has concluded, while the season in Shaanxi province is coming to a close.
河南、江苏麦收已结束，陕西麦收进度近九成。

China is carrying out its summer harvest, mostly focused on winter wheat and rapeseed. Traditionally, the summer harvest spans from May to late June, with grain output in the period taking up about a quarter of the annual total.
当前夏收工作正在全国展开，夏收一般从每年5月中旬开始，至6月下旬结束，主要是收晒冬小麦和油菜。夏粮产量占全年总产量的四分之一。

>China mulls recognition of 18 new professions
人社部拟发布18个新职业

China's human resources authority is considering adding 18 new professions to reflect the country's occupational development and boost graduate employment and entrepreneurship. The new professions, announced Tuesday to solicit opinions from the public, include robotics engineering technicians, data security engineers, digital solution designers, carbon sequestration assessors and energy efficiency and carbon neutrality consultants, according to a statement on the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security’s website.
为全面反映当前社会职业发展实际状况，促进毕业生就业创业工作，人力资源和社会保障部官网6月14日发布18个新职业信息，并广泛征求意见。此次公示的职业包括：机器人工程技术人员、数据安全工程技术人员、数字化解决方案设计师、碳汇计量评估师、建筑节能减排咨询师等。

The new professions reflect the country's digitalization and carbon neutrality trends.
新职业体现了我国数字化以及碳达峰碳中和等发展目标。
