>China encourages renminbi settlement in new models of foreign trade
央行发文支持外贸新业态跨境人民币结算

China's central bank has ramped up support for renminbi settlement in new forms and models of foreign trade, in order to better serve the real economy and facilitate trade and investment.
中国人民银行近日印发相关通知，进一步发挥跨境人民币结算业务服务实体经济、促进贸易投资便利化的作用，支持银行和支付机构更好服务外贸新业态发展。

Effective July 21, the new policies will provide better financial services for trade companies, guide the healthy development of new trade models, and help stabilize the economy, according to the central bank.
人民银行相关人士介绍，通知自2022年7月21日起实施。人民银行将稳步推进相关政策落地实施，为外贸新业态市场主体提供良好的配套金融服务，支持和引导外贸新业态新模式健康持续创新发展，助力稳定宏观经济大盘。

>Asia's largest passenger railway hub starts operation
亚洲最大铁路枢纽客站开通运营

The largest passenger railway hub in Asia was put into operation Monday in Beijing as a four-year reconstruction breathes new life into the Chinese capital's oldest railway station.
亚洲第一大铁路客运枢纽——北京丰台站6月20日正式开通运营。丰台火车站是北京最早的火车站，经过4年的改扩建，迎来了全新面貌。

It is also the country's first railway station featuring a double-deck structure that serves both high-speed and regular train services. There is also a metro stop under the railway station, enabling convenient transfers.
北京丰台站还是国内首座采用高铁、普铁双层车场重叠设计的特大型车站，形成了“顶层高铁、地面普铁、地下地铁”的立体交通模式，方便旅客“无缝”换乘城市交通。

The station's operator said it would put 120 trains into service for the preliminary stage.
根据运行方案，丰台火车站运营初期安排旅客列车120列。

>Lyricist and songwriter Qiao Yu passes away at 95
著名词作家乔羽逝世

One of China's most renowned songwriters, Qiao Yu, died in Beijing on Monday. He was 95.
6月20日，著名词作家乔羽在京逝世，享年95岁。

He wrote over 1,000 songs, some of which are still performed today, gaining popularity among audiences young and old.
他一生中创作了1000多首歌词，其中许多代表作广为流传，影响了几代中国人。

In a new plan to spur the bioeconomy during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), the National Development and Reform Commission said it is necessary to promote deep integration of advanced technologies such as genetic testing and disease prevention, and to carry out early screening programs for major diseases, including tumors.
国家发展改革委对外发布的《“十四五”生物经济发展规划》提出，要推动基因检测等先进技术与疾病预防深度融合，开展肿瘤等重大疾病早期筛查。

A report by early detection information provider Zao Dx said 26 financing events were announced last year in China's early cancer detection industry, among which 15 came in at more than 100 million yuan ($14.92 million) each. The combined value of financing reached more than 6.6 billion yuan last year.
早筛网的一份报告称，2021年中国癌症早筛行业宣布了26项融资活动，其中15项融资活动的金额均超过1亿元人民币，2021年融资总额超过66亿元。
