> China's non-cash payments report growth in Q3

Non-cash payments handled by Chinese banks continued steady growth in the third quarter of 2023, data from the central bank showed.
中国人民银行发布数据显示,2023年第三季度,我国银行办理非现金支付业务量稳步增长。

 

Non-cash payments hit 1326.19 trillion yuan ($186.91 trillion) during the period, up 3.92 percent year on year, according to a report from the People's Bank of China.
央行报告称,三季度我国非现金支付金额为1326.19万亿元,同比增长3.92%。

 

Electronic payments took the lion's share of non-cash payments, with a total transaction value of 858.34 trillion yuan, said the report.
报告称,电子支付在非现金支付中占比最大,金额为858.34万亿元。

 

A closer look at data for electronic payment vehicles showed that mobile payments expanded 10.1 percent compared with the same period last year to 137.71 trillion yuan.
数据显示,在电子支付业务中,移动支付业务占137.71万亿元,同比增长10.1%。

 

Bank card transactions also went up in the third quarter, increasing by 1.74 percent year on year to 260.77 trillion yuan, the data revealed.
数据显示,三季度全国银行卡交易金额为260.77万亿元,同比增长1.74%。

The "King of Mandopop" Jay Chou unexpectedly surprised all his fans with the new release of a Christmas single entitled "Christmas Star".
华语流行音乐天王周杰伦出人意料地发布了名为《圣诞星》的圣诞单曲,给所有歌迷带来了惊喜。

 

In previous weeks, Chou had announced that he would release his new song on social media, leaving fans abuzz with excitement.

The song quickly climbed the music charts and received 2.91 million views on YouTube within 24 hours.

Universal Music Greater China has signed a strategic partnership with Jay Chou and his record label JVR Music.

The new deal secures global marketing and distribution rights for Chou's music catalog now and into the future, supporting his label's emerging talent, including artists Patrick Brasca and Young (aka Cao Yang) through JVR.

According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), Chou recorded the highest number of album sales globally last year, becoming the first Mandopop artist ever to accomplish this feat.
根据国际唱片业协会(IFPI)的数据,周杰伦去年的专辑销量在全球排名第一,成为首位实现这一成绩的华语流行音乐歌手。

JR Yang, co-founder with Chou of JVR, said that this new partnership marked a new chapter for the record label, aiming to elevate Mandarin pop music on a global level.
杰威尔音乐联合创始人杨峻表示,与环球音乐达成战略合作关系,为周杰伦和杰威尔开启了新的篇章,进一步迈向我们提升华语流行音乐全球影响力的愿景。

 

The intent is to leverage Universal Music Greater China's global network to amplify Chou's artistic impact and artist diversity on a global scale.
