During the ongoing 46th session of UNESCO's World Heritage Committee in New Delhi, China's Badain Jaran Desert: Towers of Sand and Lakes, and the Migratory Bird Sanctuaries along the Coast of the Yellow Sea-Bohai Gulf of China (Phase II) successfully passed the review process on Friday by the World Heritage Committee to be included on the World Heritage List.
当地时间7月26日，在印度首都新德里举行的联合国教科文组织第46届世界遗产大会上，中国的巴丹吉林沙漠—沙山湖泊群、黄（渤）海候鸟栖息地（第二期）成功列入《世界遗产名录》。

The Badain Jaran Desert, located in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is China's third-largest desert.
巴丹吉林沙漠位于内蒙古自治区，是中国第三大沙漠。

Scattered among the towering dunes are numerous lakes, showcasing a typical and ongoing process of aeolian landform development on Earth, while also serving as a rich and diverse habitat for wildlife.
沙漠中的高耸沙丘间散布着众多湖泊，展示了地球上典型风成地貌长期的形成过程，同时也为野生动物提供了丰富多样的栖息环境。

Within the Badain Jaran Desert are the world's tallest fixed dunes, the most densely distributed desert lakes and a variety of wind-sculpted landforms.
在巴丹吉林沙漠中，有世界最高的固定沙丘、分布最密集的沙漠湖泊以及多样的风蚀地貌。

The other nomination, the migratory bird sanctuaries, is a serial extension of the property of the same name that is already listed on the World Heritage List. The newly admitted five sites, namely an estuarine wetland in Chongming, Shanghai; the Yellow River estuary in Dongying, Shandong province; a wetland area in Cangzhou, Hebei province; a national-level nature reserve in Dalian, Liaoning province as well as the Yalu River estuary in Dandong, Liaoning, are part of Phase II.
黄（渤）海候鸟栖息地（第二期）是对已列入世界遗产名录的同名遗产系列的扩展。新加入的五个栖息地是：上海崇明东滩；山东东营黄河口；河北沧州南大港；辽宁大连蛇岛——老铁山和辽宁丹东鸭绿江口，这些都属于第二期。

China's heritage sites, including the two newly listed ones, are typical representatives of China's ecological civilization and the construction of a beautiful China, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration said. They also highlight China's strong determination and outstanding contributions to global biodiversity conservation, it added.
国家林草局指出，包括这两处新入选的遗产地在内，中国的所有遗产地均堪称生态文明建设和美丽中国实践的典范，同时彰显了中国在全球生物多样性保护领域中的坚定决心与卓越贡献。

Star livestreamer Dong Yuhui has decided to resign from his position as a senior partner at East Buy, also known as Oriental Selection, a subsidiary of Chinese private tutoring giant New Oriental, the company said in a filing to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Thursday. Dong's departure was due to his own career aspirations, commitment to other pursuits, and personal time arrangement, and has taken immediate effect, said the company.
7月25日，东方甄选在港交所公告，董宇辉已决定不再担任公司雇员及公司一个合并联属实体的高级管理层，该离任乃由于董宇辉的职业抱负、对彼其他事业的投入及个人时间安排，并于2024年7月25日生效。

Both sides reached a sales agreement under which Dong agreed to purchase 100 percent of equity interest in Time with Yuhui from Beijing New Oriental Xuncheng Network Technology Co, at a price of 76.58 million yuan.

New Oriental Education & Technology Group shares slid 8 percent after Dong's resignation, according to yicai.com.
据第一财经报道，有关董宇辉离职的公告发布后，新东方美股盘前直线跳水，一度跌超8%。

On Thursday night, Dong confirmed his resignation, stating that he will operate his namesake venture Time with Yuhui independently after reaching a mutual agreement with his former employer.
24日晚，董宇辉对外发文证实了自己离职的消息，并表示经过双方的友好协商和一致决定，与辉同行这家公司之后就要开始独立运行。

He also expressed confidence in the company's future and emphasized the importance of giving one's best efforts in the face of uncertainty. "Time with Yuhui is embarking on a new journey, setting sail into uncharted waters. The future is full of possibilities, and we are ready to face whatever challenges come our way with determination and perseverance," he said.

Chinese scientists have developed a palm-size solar-powered drone, which can fly continuously as long as it receives sunlight, according to a research article published in the journal Nature.
中国科研团队成功研制出巴掌大小的太阳能动力微型无人机，能够依靠自然光持续飞行。相关研究成果在国际学术期刊《自然》杂志上发表。

【知识点】
微型飞行器得益于小体积、轻质量、高机动等特点，能够在狭小空间执行拍照、探测和运输等特种任务，在国民经济领域拥有广泛应用前景。

然而此类飞行器普遍存在飞行时间短的痛点问题，尤其当重量小于10克时，其飞行时间一般不超过10分钟。

北京航空航天大学研制的静电飞行器“CoulombFly”（Coulomb意为库仑，是电荷单位）翼展20cm，重4.21g。该飞行器主要由静电发动机和超轻质高压电源组成，具备低功耗（0.568瓦）和高升力（30.7克每瓦）优势，首次实现了微型飞行器在纯自然光供能下的起飞和持续飞行。

在本成果之前，此领域的最高水平成果是哈佛大学2019年在Nature发表的RoboBee飞行器，但仍需采用人工光源（三倍太阳光）才能实现持续飞行，而本成果仅依靠自然光即可实现持续飞行，可极大拓展此类飞行器的使用范围，在微型飞行器的发展进程中具有里程碑意义。
