David Beckham helped LA Galaxy to a 1-0 win over Houston Dynamo in the MLS Cup final, the most important game in American professional soccer. The win could be Beckham's final appearance in the United States.

Beckham, 36, and Robbie Keane combined to set up 搭桥 Landon Donovan for the only goal in Sunday's final, to win his first silverware 银杯 in America.

The former England captain's Galaxy contract expires 到期 next month.

He has been linked with a move to Paris St-Germain and said: "Whether I stay or not, I've had an amazing five years."

Beckham, who played the full game despite suffering a hamstring problem 腿筋拉伤 in training last week, joined Galaxy from Real Madrid in 2007.

In the 71st minute of the game - a play-off final 淘汰赛决赛 between the winners of the Western and Eastern Conferences 美国职业足球大联盟- Beckham flicked the ball on 把球铲向空中for Keane. Galaxy supporters sang "We want Beckham" after seeing their team win a first title since 2005. But he would not discuss his future plans.

"I've loved it here," Beckham said. "The fans have been unbelievable - the owners, the players, every one of them are heroes. They've been incredible all season and this has capped it off 锦上添花.

"People were talking about if we didn't win it was going to be a disappointment and an unsuccessful five years. It's quietened 平息(不满情绪) a few people, which is always nice.

"I'm not in a rush to decide what happens. We go on tour next weekend. We're going to enjoy that, enjoy this week, because we worked so hard to get to this point."
