人均GDP“翻两番” to quadruple the per capita GDP

胡锦涛同志在在十七大报告中谈到实现全面建设小康社会奋斗目标的新要求时说, 在优化结构、提高效益、降低消耗、保护环境的基础上，要实现人均国内生产总值到2020年比2000年翻两番。

"We will quadruple the per capita GDP of the year 2000 by 2020 through optimizing the economic structure and improving economic returns while reducing consumption of resources and protecting the environment," Hu said at the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
