中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平近日给“高原戍边模范营”全体官兵回信。习近平在回信中表示，希望同志们忠诚履行好卫国戍边职责，努力为党和人民再立新功。
President Xi Jinping has urged border troops to guard the country's borders well and make new contributions to the Party and the people. Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks in his reply letter to a model battalion of the People's Liberation Army stationed in the plateau region.

【知识点】
“高原戍边模范营”是一支有着优良传统的英雄部队。该营驻地平均海拔4800多米，最低气温零下40℃，每年8级以上大风200多天。长期以来，部队官兵扎根雪域高原，忠实履职尽责，先后9次获得全国全军表彰、5次被授予荣誉称号，涌现出5名一等功臣、44名二等功臣等一大批先进集体和个人。2016年8月，习近平签署中央军委命令，授予该营“高原戍边模范营”荣誉称号。
