Olympic gold medallists receive warm welcome in Macao

A delegation of Olympic gold medallists from the Chinese mainland have arrived in Macao to share their Olympic experiences.
They've just spent three days in Hong Kong. They received a warm welcome from Macao officials and local residents. Macao chief executive Edmund Ho Hau-wah praised the athletes for their outstanding performances at the Beijing Olympics.
He said their hard work will boost the development of sports in the special administrative region and the implementation of the One Country, Two Systems policy.

The head of the athletes' delegation, Liu Peng, said the excellent performances of the Chinese athletes come from the support of all Chinese people including those in Macao.
He expressed hope that inland areas and Macao will further strengthen exchanges in various fields including sports and work together toward common prosperity.
